An Irresponsible $3.4 Billion Per Day
56 cents of every dollar you paid in income tax in March went to cover interest on the debt. Not in paying down the debt....just keeping up with the interest on the debt.
And this gets mathematically worse by the month, which also means culturally worse: a threat to the national security. Look at the steep rate of climb in this chart:
