How will history remember the ambitious Victoria Nuland? She is retiring from an unaccountable swamp post she used to relentlessly impose her will on the world.

She was a success in turning Ukraine into the world's most corrupt money laundering playground corrupt US power-brokers could want. She was a success in funding and driving the deadly Maidan coup. She was a success in setting up a presidential candidate named Zelensky, who lied about a peace platform and then enflamed his nation in war, poverty, displacement and ruin. The Ukrainian wasteland Nuland leaves behind will no longer be ruled by her, but soon by Russian interests which conclude the war with a peace agreement on their terms, not the terms of Victoria Nuland. Is this why she is disappearing from the scene?
