Abandoned, vacant, expressionless, silent, lifeless. They have no warmly appointed homes, no fulfilling marriages, no fruitful children, no boisterous grandchildren, no feasts with family and friends, and no part in building a civilization grateful for the abundance of all things. Their chairs, and the chairs of their heirs, are forever unoccupied.
