Former feminist and top-flight journalist Elizabeth Nickson has had it up to here with female Hollywood producers who make shows about enlightened media producers or old novels populated with hard-left or other stupid women. She has thoughts. She has informed indignation.
About inane TV scripts, and their female characters, Nickson writes,
"[TV is a wasteland]...of stupid women talking, like the Housewives or even more offensive, The Buccaneers. Edith Wharton’s last book (1920) was cast via skin shade dark-to-light, and rewritten in the you-go-Barbie-cheerleading-style, lots of screaming and running around the grass, shrieking and jumping up and down on beds, crossed with loads of resentment about their insane levels of wealth and THE PATRIARCHY. It is both boring and offensive.
"Hollywood, which is full-on demonic, can cast the great classics of American and English literature with black girls with vocal fry, but we can’t wear corn rows or self-tan, because “appropriation”. You freaking idiots, every line of Austen or Wharton is grounded in the ancestral memory of the people upon whom the characters are based and that is where the book/film gets its resonance and meaning, but go ahead trash our culture, you’ve trashed everything else.

Never mind the sharp uptick of crime, sooner or later, honey, you are going to want a gun and a man because the world you created - go girl – is so dangerous.

They wake up in their $10 million penthouse with an aggrieved sigh, they have silly arguments with each other, they are always breaking down in tears, their pride is always being hurt which is a cataclysm worthy of a LOT OF SOOTHING AND PRAISE, and they feel because they are women and are smarter than men, they should run everything and because they don’t, they are miserable. They actively ACTIVELY resent the culture for their six figure salaries and palatial apartments."
"They bear zero responsibility for anything. They are all designer-clad, heavily groomed victims. The two leads, Witherspoon and Aniston, have the bodies of starved fourteen year olds with big bobble heads.
"In the first season a woman of color killed herself because she was raped by the male host. That was their big, huge, dramatic event. Oh boo hoo hoo. Look, I’ve been in that world. First day you are told who the predators are. You are told not to drink with them or go to their hotel room as the innocent, saintly associate producer of color did. She wasn’t six. She was thirty. She was fishing for preference.

They cannot do what they want in the nation or to the nations of the world. They are limited by written Constitutional restrictions.

In his resignation letter to the President, he explains why he cannot be a party to an illegal war.
