Amish dads going to prison for refusing to send their children to government schools. This happened to many Amish dads in several states over a four decade period. Many Amish families fled to South America to find academic and religious freedom. SCOTUS secured their freedom to bring kids home after eighth grade in Wisconsin v Yoder (1972).
A descendent of one of these dads is currently being harassed and tried for selling clean beef from his PA farm. Attorney Robert Barnes is representing him against the government.
